Technical Advisory Committee

The Committee is composed of the following experts:

Dr. James Beeson, Walter and Eliza Hall Insititute for Medical research, Melbourne, Australia

Prof. Clive Gray, National Institute for Communicable Diseases, Johannesburg, South Africa

Prof. Antonio Lanzavecchia, Institute for Research in Biomedicine, Bellinzona, Switzerland

Prof. Tom H.M.Ottenhoff, Leiden University Medical Center, Leiden, The Netherlands

Dr. Richard Pleass, University of Nottingham, Nottingham, United Kingdom

The TAC meets in scheduled meetings to review and advise on:

1) the strategic plan

2) its technical orientation

3) the work programme of the initiative and the progress being achieved, and

4) regulatory issues that require specific expertise identified by the Steering Committee.

On an ad-hoc basis, external experts could be called depending on the issues or questions raised as this could vary greatly i.e. from expertise on statistical techniques for assay harmonization to cellular immune response assessments.
